Sew a cushion cover
Download the templates. Cut out all of the fabric pieces to make the cover and snip all the notches as indicated. Follow our guide to piece everything together, matching the numbers on the pattern pieces with those labelled on the diagram, then sew in rows. Add two equally spaced buttons in the centre of each tape.
Fold in a 1cm seam allowance around the edge of the completed front cushion cover. Pin ready-made piping along the right side, snipping at the corners if needed, and tack to hold in place.
To make the back of the cushion cover, cut two 30cm x 46cm rectangles of grey fabric. On each piece, hem along one 46cm edge; these will be at the opening where the cushion is inserted. Pin both sections to the front of the cushion, right sides together, allowing the hemmed edges to overlap in the middle.
Sew around the four edges, making sure to stay close to the piping; the zip foot on your sewing machine will aid this. Turn out and insert a cushion pad.
